A heat gun will warm the vinyl up enough to peel it right off.

Keep the heat moving around. Use a weeder tool to catch an edge and peel.
When the vinyl hits about 300 F it will come right off. Don't burn the shirt!

The only problem now is the glue that remains on the shirt.

I've put the shirt back in the press and covered the design with regular copy/printer paper. Press for a normal cycle (302F for 20 sec., Med pressure) Let the paper cool just a bit before you peel. Most of the glue will stick to the paper. If you cold peel, the paper will tear off and leave fuzzy bunnies all over your shirt. (Hmm, paper flock) Not a good thing, better to peel warm, NOT cold.

From here, you can press new vinyl, or use a chemical to take out any stray glue.
