Re: printing on black tees Maybe the heat gun isn't doing the job. I've started using Union's Bright Cotton White, and you can get a good white print on a black shirt through a 156 mesh with print/flash/print. Flood/print, then dry stroke the first print to clear the screen and flatten the fibers, then flash and print the second time with just enough pressure to lay the ink on top of the first print. If you press just hard enough so you can just start to feel the squeegie dragging a little as it passes over the open areas of the stencil, that is just enough pressure on that second pass. Using the 156 mesh, you don't have too heavy a hand in the feel of the print when you're finished. |
