Re: just bought a cutter There are different angles on the blades for cutting different materials. There are 30, 45, and 60 degree blades. Thicker materials require steeper angles so the cutting edge of the blade covers the material thickness. Most often the 45 deg. works just fine. Some foils cut better with the 60 though.
As for how long they last , it depends on several things. Cutting chrome , I have gone through a blade in minutes ( I no longer offer chrome), or they have lasted for months (sometimes you just get lucky). Just make sure to always have a spare. |
