Thermoflex is probably the most recommended type of vinyl out there right now, but it is also expensive. It's probably a good place to start (especially if you already have orders in mind), but you might consider trying other brands to comapre later (this is my plan when I finally get a cutter).
The problems with Spectra Cut II are white-specific. I think Josh has mentioned they got a bad batch of it and are trying to work through the problem right now, but at this time most people would suggest avoiding it in white. The other colors should be fine, and many people do like this type of vinyl as well.
IIRC, Spectra Cut II is easier to weed, but depending on what you're doing that might be a bad thing (e.g. fine detail might come loose more easily). As I said above, your best bet is probably to try several types, but if you have to choose one right now I'd go with the ThermoFlex. |
