Cool Fullfilment, DTG, DIY, or use shopify/bigcartel? Which is the BEST ROI

I have been reading all the different post on this forum and still have not been able to make up my mine on which way to go.

So what i would like to do with this Thread is consolidate (at least try) the advantages and disadvantages of the different methods of starting T-shirt business.

For Example.

Myshopify.com

Advantages:

Easy to setup , hardly any html/CSS knowledge needed
Payment is only 3% plus 2.9 of what paypal charges you + .30 per transaction.
Keep track of stats
Professional looking

You can use your domain and link it back to your shop.

Disadvantages:

Havent found any yet....

Bigcartel.com

Advantages:
Easy to setup , hardly any html/CSS knowledge needed
Keep track of stats

Disadvantages:

Lack of customization
charge extra for additional pictures and to add more merchandise to the site.

Fulfillment:

I was looking at Printmojo

Advantages:

They do all the work for you

Can customize your print mojo store to like your site.

Disadvantages:

Its pricey

DIY (Do it Yourself)

Advantages:

Have total control

Keep almost all the profit (Dont tell that to uncle sam)

Disadvantages:

Can Get pricey with webhosting, SSL Cert, Shopping Cart, Payment Gateway etc

DTG (Direct to Garment)

Advatages:

No upfront fees

Disadvantages:

You make pennies on the dollar

Can yall elaborate more on these issues with real life experiences with money examples...I want to start a business but before i start ordering t-shirts left and right i want to make sure i don't make a bad decision. I know that every case is different but we can all learn from the mistakes of others or from the different experiences. I know its going to depend on how much work i want to put into it but taking all into consideration which is the best ROI (Return on Investment). Me Personally I am willing to do whats necessary to make my T-shirt Company succeed. Thanks in Advance

Side Note...

Do Ya'll design your own shirts or hire a graphic designer?
