I agree with the guys above re: exposure. If the emulsion is washing off its underexposed. If you get the emulsion to stay but your image will not wash out, then your transparencies aren't dark enough. Learnt that the hard way!
As for washing the screen off, i just use a standard shower head - cold water and not too much pressure.
