Default Re: Inkjet printer and no halftones

i recommend you still get a rip software so you can at least lay down nice dark positives. without a rip you can not lay down those nice dark positives we all want. when you go to burn your screen you will run the risk of loosing detail in your image. im about to get the r1800 package from U.S. Screen Print and Inkjet Technology. i use an inkjet to print on vellum but i still run into problems, dont get me wrong either you can still do alot of things without the rip and just an inkjet printer, i have been working with an old canon multipass all in one printer. but trust me you will have pleanty of headaches without the rip. another thing to think about is image size, make sure you at least get a printer that can do 13" wide prints. i have been doing the cut and tape thing way to long to get my desired size. with a printer that only prints 8.5 x 11 you actually only get about 10" or so.
