Vinyl works great for simpler designs or short run jobs. You can cut a transfer, weed it and press it in just a few minutes. It's very durable and looks good. Plastisol will take a lot longer to make the screens, print, cure, transfer, etc.
The cost benefit starts to swing towards plastisol somewhere around a dozen or two transfers. Vinyl can be VERY labor intensive and there's no savings in volume.
