I think most people choose them because they are conviently located in the U.S. and for their quality. But on the pacific sports site they have USA softspun and then ringspun which I assume is imported.
But when comparing those two with American Apparel, It looks like the 30/1 ringspun from PS would be the better choice and not just because of price. It is the only one out of the three (I compared to AA s/s knit jersey) that is both combed cotton and enzymed wash.
AA is combed and so is PS USA softspun which is great for the added softness, but then you add in the enzyme wash which the PS ringspun has on top of being combed, it is definitely better quality material IMHO. But that is without actually seeing a sample of the actual product.
I don't have a need for wholesale shirts, so maybe when someone orders samples they can post the info here for others. But I would defintely get a sample of the enzyme wash and compare with the others.
