Discuss the process of getting your t-shirt line into brick and mortar stores and selling offline. Topics include industry tradeshows, events, line sheets, sales reps and other retailing tips and advice.
I attended the ISS Fort Worth Show yesterday and going back today for a free workshop for Rhinestone Stencil users offered by Digital Art Solutions.
Got to see the robot machines by SWF Mesa. I believe they had three machines there - the baby machine, a mid sized machine, and a huge one. Hard to get too close as they were very busy, as most of the vendors were.
DAS had a big booth and I could hardly even get close as there were so many people visiting them. I did get to meet Matt and Jeff. Craig was there as well and they were BUSY!!
Ioline was there too - now that looks like a pretty cool machine as it doesn't take up a lot of space and looked fairly uncomplicated. They were using the swaro's and nothing compares to that bling when it gets right down to it!!
I've never been to anything like this so I spent the day just walking the hundreds of booths that had everything from shirts, caps, iron on transfers, embroidery, imprintable, direct to garment, digitizers, and so much more! It was a little overwhelming!
I was curious as to why many people had towable carry on luggage and now I see why! I had to make a trip to my car to drop off all the catalogs and information that I picked up!! I have to admit it was a little overwhelming, especially since I am so new that I didn't know what I was doing. But I came away in awe with how technology has affected these industries in such a powerful way. It has made the process so much more simplified!
Well, need to get going and make the most of the day!
I was there with my sister. We saw alot of new things and have a better outlook. We stopped at alot of the booths and met alot of nice ppl. I plan to go to the one in Louisiana too! We picked up one of the Ryonet DVDs. We should of got the other one too!!!
The Tradeshow/Expo was great. Next time will sign up for more classes. The best part was I was able to purchase Corel Draw X4 Value Pack for $199, special Expo only price. I couldn't Affford not to buy it at that price! Can't wait till it gets here!

Thanks for posting your report of the show.
Did you get the actual CorelDraw software for $199? Or is the Value Pack like an add on?
I sent them an e-mail explaining that I didn't have Corel Draw at all and I got a reply stating to go through the installation when I get the software and it would be okay. Until I actually get the package I really don't know. Will get back with you on that one....
We exhibited at ISS Fort Worth. The show was great. We got to meet so many people and we got to talk to some fellow vendors with interesting products. It was my first visit to Texas and I had a great time.
