Re: How much time to deliver once retail shop orders? From my limited experience at the Magic tradeshow in Vegas... You are selling a season ahead, meaning your showing Spring line in Winter... So your selling your line ahead to allow for orders, then production, then shipping and receiving at retailers prior to the season actually hitting shelves.
On the flip side, owners have mentioned that due to the state of the economy shop owners don't want to order stock that far in advance because of overhead. They want to order in season, have it delivered quick, order small quantities, move them, and re-order.
I would suspect this is probably a case by case basis. Would say the larger retailers still follow the first model while small mom and pop's go the second route.
Hopefully that helps. Again... I'm no authority in retail sales. I'm in the same boat. Advice given based on my research with fellow clothing owners experiences.
