Default ISS workshop - Atlanta

I am SOOO excited. The timing of this is PERFECT. I had not yet seriously considered going to an ISS show until we recently decided to branch off into some different embellishment techniques -- rhinestones, transfers, etc... I am NOT a screenprinter; we have a line of apparel. But I'm clueless on just about anything except screenprinting...

So I saw the ISS show as I was looking at a company website. And then I see this new workshop:
W03 How to Start an Apparel Decorating Business (New!)
Speaker(s):
Jimmy Lamb, Tajima USA Sales & Support by Hirsch Intl.
Track: Business
For: Entrepreneurs looking to enter the decorated apparel business (100)

This extended seminar will introduce you to all aspects involved in starting an apparel decoration business, whether from your home or a commercial location. This course provides a unique overview, giving you the opportunity to evaluate the business opportunities and learn what steps to take to lay the foundation for successful embroidery, screen printing, or digital garment decoration.

In this session you will learn:
• How to find customers
• How to price for profit no matter which decorating discipline(s) you choose to offer
• How to take advantage of the lastest technology to make your business as run as efficiently as possible

Sounds like a really great opportunity. I just hate that I didn't see it before Aug 1... It costs more now...

It sounds like a great opportunity to get a good overview. We've only been going for a few months now and it sounds like we'd get a lot of useful info.

Any feedback? Thanks!

-Kristie

I am going to check it out too this year. This will be the 2nd time I get to attend. The 1st time I was a bit under the weather and could not enjoy it but I am hoping for a better time this year.

This will be my first show, looking for rhinestone equipment. If you see me there on Friday say Hi.

I will be the short bald guy with the 12 inch long gotee. Probably wearing a T-Shirt with some kind of Skull design on it. 99% of my shirts have some kind of skull design.

If any of you want to sign up for the workshop, there is or will be a code in creative loafing that ISS sent me via email. It gets you the workshop for $100 and another code that gets you in for free to the expo (it's $30 now if you sign up thru the website). I'm really looking forward to it!

ps -- send me a pm for the codes if interested.
