Rodney, thanks for the discount codes. I signed up for two conference sessions after I saw your email. I have just launched a clothing line on a very small scale and am hoping the ISS show will be a learning experience.
I live in Chicago and have my printing done locally, not looking to become a printer any time soon. I have so much to learn re: marketing, design, efficiency, etc. Additionally, I am on a never ending search for deliciously soft and feminine women's blanks.
This is my first show. Any suggestions on how to get the most out of it?
Thank you Rodney for this information. Yes, I plan on going to the show this weekend. I am in Springfield, IL about 3 hrs. south of Schaumburg. I can't wait to see what the show has to offer. I will bring back lots of information and try to share with the forum.
Gee Beverly I am in Bloomington, I am going up tomorrow just for the trade show. Can't wait this is my 3rd year - first year I did some of the seminars. So much fun to see the new products and get new ideas.
Is there any reason for a hobbyist/startup screen printer like myself to go? I'm not going to be buying any large equipment or anything for a long time.

Yes, I definitely think so. One of the things that I found really helpful were the different blank garment vendors that exhibit there.
It's nice to be able to see the different blank garments in person instead of relying on a catalog or having to buy samples. Plus, you usually find some new vendors for products that you (or your customers) may have been looking for.
It's also nice to see the variety of different printing techniques in person. The various screen printing techniques, the advancements in DTG, heat transfers, etc.
Definitely worth a trip to the building you helped build for a walk around
Yes if you can go do so - I think there 80 different vendors involved. you will get ideas and see so many things from clothing to the big machines. and get to talk to other people interested in your area
