Lightbulb Shipping to an event

Can anyone suggest the best way to get merchandise to an event? I am planning to fly and need my merchandise shipped. Where should I ship it?

Most tradeshows have a receiving area already designated.. I would check with your show first and make sure they are accepting packages at the venue. If they are not.. I suggest a local Kinko's , Fedex or UPS terminal that is willing to hold your items at the terminal. You need to make sure that whatever terminal you choose is fully aware that they are holding your items and you have phone numbers available for them to call you.

This maybe an added cost to your delivery so I would check on that, as well.. you can also arrange to have your items sent back with the same carrier.

Good Luck

Good suggestions. The hotel (or other venue) you're staying at is also another option.

If you're exhibiting at a show, the show generally provides a manual of some type for all exhibitors which lists where and when the show will be accepting exhibitor shipments. That is generally the easiest way to handle things, just make sure you pay careful attention to any dates that are given as to when packages will and will not be accepted. There can be charges if your package arrives before or after the established dates.

Your hotel is also another good option. Most hotels will hold packages for incoming guests.

This is true.. You can be charged "storage fees" at some terminals. They do not like have items on their docks that don't belong there. If you want to incur these fee's it would ensure an extra day for the terminal to make delivery arrangements, some terminals may waive the fee's if its just a day or two.

Also, you need to make sure that the times and dates are correct. If they go out a delivery them within the said time and have any problems they will return and charge you re-delivery fees. Also, make sure you have accurate tracking numbers for your packages because it will be used for everything you can not just call a terminal and say "you have my package" more than likely you will not even speak to anyone at the actual terminal.
