Discuss the process of getting your t-shirt line into brick and mortar stores and selling offline. Topics include industry tradeshows, events, line sheets, sales reps and other retailing tips and advice.
I'm brand new and launching our t-shirt company site in less than 2 months. I want to sell to the vendors at track events like Motocross, Nascar, NHRA, and other smaller track events. Does anyone know how to get in touch with the vendor row people so I can get them to sell our t-shirts there?
Thanks for all the help. I've learned so much from this site! Amazing.
Try visiting the event websites and going to the vendor signup section. Many will list vendors who are already signed up, or vendors who participated last year.
Also, visit the photo gallery section. You may be able to determine vendors from the pictures posted.
It also wouldn't hurt to ask the event for their vendor list. Tell them why you want it so they know you aren't trying to steal their vendors from them for another event. You never know...
What attract the vendors most is price, give them the lowest price and raise your price when your t-shirts sell well.
This is horrible advice, sorry. Coming in low and jacking up prices after getting accounts is a surefire way to loose everything. Coming in with strong products, priced what the market will bear, with good service and a company that stands behind their products is how you get and keep accounts with vendors.
