Re: t-shirt design fashion trends - where's it going?
Definitely the trends are going towards much larger graphics on tops, I mean look at Bape, L-R-G, BBC, Artful Dodger, etc. Hoodys/Sweaters for £100+ and kids are happy to pay !
What I don't get, is how they print them ? Any one wanna lend a hand ?

Hit me up with some more info on this if you can. I think Nike is using this on sneakers and I would like to incorporate it into tees. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Re: t-shirt design fashion trends - where's it going?
To be honest I think it is screnprinted fabric, not allover screenprint because when i go to stores like up against the wall and other urban stores, I look at the sewing onthe sleeves and the designs don't match up. so it's not an allover design in my opinion. jus fabric.
That Trend of allover prints is slowly working it's way out so i'd recommend that if you havn't tried to do anything with it already then it might not sell as fast.
the 90's cross colors are coming back hard. alot of kids(15-24) are pickin up on that. Big glasses, dookie chains, bright multi-colored sneakers. crazy socks and print. yada yada.

It most lkely is.
Patterns are used often. They may not be at the Trend Climax always but who's to say when they will ? ....you, the designer I guess.
As for the clear shaded vinyls, perhaps mixed into the designs with other materials like flock along with plastisol prints, mixing it up looks kind of cool and interesting.
Invisable inks, sort of like glow in the dark are kind of neat too.
The hard retro look though, I don't know, sort of getting tired of it by now.
ECO stuff/materials, for sure will dominate the marked in the long run I think.

In my opinion t-shirts are going to go more high-tech in the near future. Incorporating Fiber Optics and El lights and LED's into t-shirt design will enable a t-shirt to become much more inter-active. Case in point, The T-qualizer shirt is hot. I've been playing around with fiber optics and LED's on a few of my designs and I've gotten good responses

yes, it is hot. ...now. Better cash in quick.
.....I think that the younger generation or even my 7 year old are growing and shifting big time towards ECO friendly. They are your t-shirt dollars.
My opinion, ...in the longer longevity term, Eco Friendly is the way of future.

I agree. It'll come and go like Hypercolour. There's plenty of money in that for those in (and out) at the right time, but it can ruin the ones who convince themselves it's here to stay.

I've felt some that were screen printed, but the image did not go over any stitching.
