Discuss the process of getting your t-shirt line into brick and mortar stores and selling offline. Topics include industry tradeshows, events, line sheets, sales reps and other retailing tips and advice.
I've done 2 big hockey events, depending on what you are doing it can get really busy. We had pre-made transfer for the front and back, stars to put by the players name and our GX-24 to apply name and number to the sleeve. I had 3 people helping, one took orders, one put on the transfer and the other to do the cutting on the GX. It got stressful at time due to having long lines but we got everything done. It made it easier because I had 2 presses there for the different temp needs for the transfers and the vinyl. Organazation is key to keep things going smooth, if you just have your GX-24 and plan on cutting when they order it could take up alot of time with the weeding so have a design easy to weed. But the most important thing is to have the correct size clothing, I was told that I need youth med and large when I really need youth large and Adult small, so I ran out in the first hour of the 2nd day but we took orders and everything worked out. So good luck and trust me you will learn from your mistakes.

Reason: add a line
Melinda, Thanks for the great advice, only question , when you took orders, how did you do that. Did you have the customers pre-pay for their orders?
Yes I had them pre-pay, I did not charge any postage becasue I felt it was m fault I ran out, but if you set your price fair enough you should have a little room, I sent mine out in the plastic flat rate envelope.
You may want to have as many transfers as you are comfortable making pre-cut ready to go, even have some of each size already applied to the shirts, get as big of a head start as possible.
If your planning on continuing to do these type of events it always a good idea to have filler shirts where you can take from event to event.
Around here I sell a typical baseball front with a saying on the back- Normally a Yogi-Ism
