I would like to go Into Canada as a vendor for a couple shows- has anyone ever done that? what is required? Do you have any problems with customs driving your product in? How do you handle the currency difference and taxes?

Any info to get started researching this would be appreciated

We have never gone into Canada because of the headaches of crossing the border. We do know a vendor that does it once a year and they use a freight forwarder to meet customs requirements.

Be sure you have your passport - it is a requirement now.

I would like to add to this discussion, has anyone from Canada gone to events to sell shirts in the States? If so what can we look forward to?

Well so far what I have learned is not promising. From what I understand going from the states to Canada you must pay tax on everything you take in - if you don't sell it all you will get a refund but it can take a LONG time to get it back. The rate I heard is out of site.
