Default is this a stupid idea? should I state a specific brand in my catalogs to retailers?

i'm working on my line sheet/portfolio to send out...

i have pics from 2007 of my designs on gildan shirts...

i have pics from 2008 of my designs on american apparel....since i'm using SS for now until i can really get it going

i really want to use royal apparel and i have 6 boxes of gear that i order a few months back...

now heres the questions.....

my line will be with royal apparel since i like their colors/fit/etc....... since i dont have any royal pics, should i still show the older pics and maybe have a disclaimer..... "refer to samples/colors for current selection"....or something like that

i could try to photoshop tweek the AA shirts to get close to the color of the royal apparel.....

what should i do..... should i just say that the pics are a gallery of what has been out there and then state the "official line" will be on royal apparel?....

i really want to show the pics since i have some nice shots and artists that i have been working with...so i could use that to help push my line in the stores.....

i can have the design on a white computer tshirt and then just list the colors next to it......

i have about 15 designs to get out there....so the better organized i am the less likely i'll throw something....(hahahahah).....

any suggestions...

b

this years on AA

last years on gildan

Hmmmmmmm, I say go with the print using old pics but dont make a lot if you plan on taking new pics soon, then have the disclaimer stating the garments will be royal apparel, photos are for look of design, and have samples ready.
But thats just me. I would also reshoot the pics on the RA asap.

well....

i dont have the cash to print/shoot on royal....thats the issue..... i'm trying to figure a good way to showcase the "look" to a few buyers....

i can just do a regular line sheet/book with just graphics on a computer shirt.....and then maybe just have a "gallery of past shirts" in the back..... just for some eye candy..... or do you think that would be tooo confusing...

i think that most line sheets dont have real models in them...just the design/info

if i could dtg some designs on the royal shirt i have that would be cool..... but i know that would run me at least 300-400 total...plus reshooting with models again/etc...
