what to include for retail buyers to review for my clothing line
i'm putting together a package to send to a buyer.....
they mentioned to send designs and that was really it.... they didnt mention anything else...
1. if i send the designs, should i put a watermark on them?.....
2. i was going to send model pics of my shirts also....
3. figure a quick bio
4. should i send a price list also...or does this come later?
5.i figured 8.5x11 is a good size for prints.....
6. i was also going to make a nice case to send my items in.......you think this is tooo much?...
i dont want to give a bad impression on the package.......
any suggestions?

Re: what to include for buyers to review
retailer...... larger store types
i'm researching a line sheet.....
just need to keep it basic as in numbering/etc......
all my graphics are labeled with names..i.e. zugsilo1...... this reflects the graphic.... but not sure if i should do just numbers.....
last year i ran gildans
this year i started using american apparel...due to SS.....
should i give the option for either gildan or AA...... i have pics of models in both....
i need to relax...hahahaha...... toooo many ideas....

Style numbers are the standard practice. You should check out the Fashion-Incubator blog (link in the sidebar), search that site for line sheet and style numbers to see some good examples.

Re: what to include for retail buyers to review for my clothing line
I would think most retailers want to know what price, what quantity for minimums, colours available, recommended selling price, sizes available and how or what the shirt is made of. I can't see them wanting to read a load of details.
I would think you need to show your range using the photos you got so they know which ones to order.
A simple order form, already filled out so they just need to write the quantity next to the style they want.
Make the whole thing so simple it will only take a few minutes.

Re: what to include for retail buyers to review for my clothing line
right.... i was going to have options...but i think that'll just make it more confusing....... i figure giving a shirt color option would be the only option other than size......
i had a graphics color option but think that's toooo much to organize....so i'll just stick to the basics...
i might down size it also....to 5.5x8.5 just for the ease of looking.......
i did the order form in excel....hopefully the organization will be easy to fill out..... i have a ladies section and a mens section....... and only using 1 type of shirt for the mens and womens..... i was trying to do tooo many styles and didnt think it's worth all the hassle right now...... i dont know
