is there like a website or something that can show you open storefronts in a certian area that you can rent out.

if you live in the area you are interested in, take a drive thru and look for vacant store fronts and get phone numbers from the for rent signs.

You could also call one of your local real estate companies, there are many of them that handle the rent/leaseing of retail space.

Find a good Commercial Broker that knows your market. Sign a year lease with an option on the second. If business is real bad you can bail after the 1st year without destroying your credit.. bank accounts frozen etc. Good Luck with your search

Also, learn what all the terms and phrases mean. You need to know if you have to pay extra for CAM, if your lease is triple net, what else you are responsible for.
