I thought MAGIC was for VENDORS to showcase their lines. I know lots of designers go there to sell to stores/department stores.
We are attending the Long Beach Show for Sign & Digital Graphics/Printwear show in two weeks (I am so excited, I have been staring at my ticket for weeks)! I think this might be more of what you are thinking of Sandy Jo.
But I haven't been to either one so I'll soon find out!
Sandy, Magic will be more for designers, clothing labels, & buyers or people who are just interested in seeing the "new big" trend that might be with clothing lines since these clothing lines are selling a couple seasons before to retailers.
The benefit to going if you are printer would be to check and see what trend is popping up to study the print method perhaps.
Most apparel decoraters are better off going to ISS or another show which caters to equipment and new supplies on the market.
Thanks Teddy.
I am a Designer, and the manufacter,,lol as well as a clothing store owner,,
I look forward to this show in aug,,
I look forward to scoping out the new trends,, I think we are going to see a lot of Burnished affects,,

So does anyone know how to get into the show without having to pay $100 for both Pool and Magic? As far as I can tell you must be a buyer for a retail store or pay. We are a small private label so we are just going to scout new trends and scope out how to best exhibit next year. Any ideas are appreciated thanks.

We are exhibiting at the show to promote our sweet pickles t shirt line. We went to Magic in Feb 08 and decided to participate for the Aug show. I'll let you know how it goes. We are newbs and don't have any reps. It is a licensed product so I'm hoping it's recognizable.
