Default T-shirt package from USA manufacturer

I have a problem and was wondering if someone could explain to me the cheapest way to create my first samples without my product looking cheap. I have a trade show to attend and I want to bring my t-shirt samples along with the rest of my line. A t-shirt company said that I should send him my tech pack with its original artwork on AI files along with a purchase order. He hasn't given me a price quote yet. I am a little confused because I thought POs were issued by the manufacturer . I don't think I should deal with just anyone locally because I created my designs with lots of embellishments and different wash instructions. I need someone to create high quality t-shirt sales samples to present to potential buyers at the trade show. I really don't want to spend money foolishly either right now without any orders from retailers yet?

What steps should I be taking to avoid further delays? I really want my finished samples back in my hands as quickly as possible. This is my dilemma. Any suggestions???? I am also concerned about scheduling.

Anyone who is purchasing something from someone else can be involved in a purchase order. It is not issued by manufacturers. It is issued to manufacturers.

I would strongly suggest you deal locally with your samples, if there is a company locally who can handle it. You are in a hurry, shipping each way can add a week to the process. And what if they have to be redone? There is another week that has gone by.

Cheap and high quality and samples don't go together. It's unrealistic to think you can get both. You are basically asking for a few hand made high quality garments and that is going to cost you.

Start with the company doing your other line. Can they do it? If not, ask for recommendations. If not, tell us exactly what you need done and what city you are in and let's see if anyone here has any recommendations.
