Has anyone done the summer festival circuit? I am very interested in travelling throughout the summer to various festivals: Pride festivals, city festivals etc. I'm wondering if anyone has had success in doing this.
Thanks!!!

I did Atlanta Pride festival two summers and did really well. It was non-stop busy and I could barely keep up. This year I plan to do it again but don't know what the turnout will be since they are changing the venue and dates.
One summer I hope to do the whole Pride circuit, but since this is just a side project for me right now it won't be anytime soon. *~*

Rhonda,
Thanks for the fast reply! My partner and I are dabbling in the t-shirt thing, keeping our full time jobs while we do. One of my dreams would definately be to do the pride circuit, and if things go well this year, I just might try next year.
In Atlanta did you go with preprinted stuff, or did you customize onsite? We've been debating doing both (in that "one day down the road" plan).

Because I had only been doing the t-shirt thing for about a month – and because it was before I found this forum – I printed up a bunch of different shirts. The problem with that is I sold out of some designs and had leftovers of others. So this year I will take my press, pre-printed transfers, and blank shirts and do it on demand as people order. Just makes more sense to do it that way.
If by 'customize' you mean taking people's artwork/photo and putting it on shirts, I don't do that. I only sell my designs.

Hey all,
Thanks for the great information. I was thinking about personalizing stuff with not only pre printed designs, but also their own on the fly photos from the festivals. I have no idea if that much personalizing would be feasable or not. Will have to delve deeper and assess the situation. Wow, I did not realize X-mas and Holiday sales could do so much. Amazing.

There are people here on the forum who do exactly that. If you haven't already, try using the search function using 'festival' as the keyword.
