I was recently told about the Surtex show in New York, which is happening this spring. Just wondering if anyone has ever attended or displayed at the show and if you have any advice. This show (and most like it) are pretty expensive to display at, so it becomes a question of where to put my money to get the best return for my investment. I'm not quite ready to launch my line yet, so signing up for a show would be a motivator to get my act together quickly...or it could be a waste of money if I'm not ready. Thoughts?

A friend of mine forwarded your question to me - I work on the Surtex Show - my name is Alessia Adler.

Surtex is the only show for the sale and licensing of art and design to numerous industries, including: decorative fabrics, linens and domestics, contract textiles, wall coverings, floor coverings, apparel textiles, stationery, greeting cards, gift wrap and other paper products, tabletop, giftware, house wares, toys, ceramics, packaging and publishing.

Many artists who aren't ready to launch their line but are curious about Surtex attende the show and walk it for the first year. If this is something that you are interested in doing you could contact our customer service department at 914-948-3206 - they would be able to assist you with the registration process.
