Default Re: Finding Retailers

I do on-line searches for my target area, such as "gifts for new moms and dads" etc. then I contact the sites that seem to offer my type of product. I send an e-mail brochure with a link to my site. I usually send a postcard or brochure as a follow-up a week later. I also do searches on yahoo yellowpages for stores that offer the type of goods I am selling. For local stores, I call or stop in with samples.

Find the name of the person responsible for making purchasing decisions and send samples. Or, contact them via email and send photos of your work. Nothing beats showing up in person with samples.

Good Luck!

Default Re: Finding Retailers

would it be better to sell them to stores on a sale or return basis?

and would it be better to arrange a meeting via email first before going in with samples? (or is it better to turn up un annouced, catch them on the hop)
