Default Giveaways

Has anyone ever found it helpful to do giveaways? We've seen companies give away T-shirts at bars and other events, would it help to do something similar to this with our companies unique T-shirt designs? Does anyone have any experience in this that could give us some advice so we don't waste our money? Thanks!

I don't think it will help you get more immediate "conversions", but giveaways can help get your name out there and increase the exposure of your company/brand to your target market.

It depends on your "goals" for the giveaway.

A giveaway can be a great way to collect leads for future sales or marketing efforts if you're trying to build an email list (make sure you spell out your privacy policy).

Having a giveaway thinking that you're going to make it all back in x amount of sales is probably setting up unrealistic expectations.

We assumed we probably won't make back the money we spend on giveaways, but I appreciate your comment because it reaffirms what we were intending as the purpose of the giveaways.
