SGIA update Well we just got back to Athens, GA from SGIA. 4 days for this show was way too long. I have been to a couple of SGIA shows in the past and many other smaller ones too. This year SGIA didnt seem to have that much traffic. I was also hearing this from a lot of exhibitors. I went to a couple of seminars for some refressing courses witch were good and learned a new trick or too. Over all I really wasnt impressed with it. By the 3rd day most of the exhibtors seemed tired and worn out and really didnt seem to want to try and sale anything. One booth I visited I ask for some info on the machine, the guy saw I had had the tech sheet on it. He told me it was all right there on that sheet. I said thanks, asked for his card, and the price of the machine. I cant wait till they call or e mail me and tell them why I didnt buy from them. I had been looking at this piece of equipment for a month a was really thinking about it until this. We were about to spend $90,000 with this company, but since they guy didnt even care to help or want to try and sale anything we went with someone else.
The seminars are the best things about this show. If you are able to go to any shows make sure to spend the extra money and take some classes. |
