Default Do You Take Your Printer to Shows?

I know there are a lot of people that take their heat presses to shows, but does anybody take their printer or vinyl cutter and create the images on location? Just wondering if it's worth thinking about or would be too much trouble. I also wonder if there's a chance of damaging my printer with the travel? I would be taking a 4800.

Thanks,
Rusty

I am curious as to replies also. I think it would be great to bring a cutter to a show to be able to do names on the back of hoodies or t's for kids at sports tournaments. I have not tried it, but am thinking about it.

I take everything but the vinyl cutter. I take an OKI C8800 and Epson 1400 printer, a 14x16 GK press, mug press, hat press, all of the supplies to make it all work and 20 or so tote bins full of various shirts and sublimatable products. I don't use heat press vinyl, so I only use the cutter to make an occasional sign.

Bump for any other replies...

Also, If I take my 4800 to a craft show, are there any tips for travelling, or are these printers pretty durable? My biggest fear is damaging it while in transit.
Thanks,
Rusty

My printers travel well. I'm doing mostly indoor shows now that it's getting colder, which means I'm moving the printers around every weekend.

Rusty,
I took my whole shop to a show a couple of weekends ago. Embroidery machine, 4800, press, mug press, computer, etc. It was impressive in a small space Didn't even get to turn it on for two days because we were busy taking orders and talking to customers answering questions. Brought everything home, and printed for a week. At least it let people know that I didn't farm stuff out And , yes, all of that stuff is heavy and a pain to move. Doing another show in a couple of weeks and wondering if it's worth it or if the products speak for themselves.
