Discuss the process of getting your t-shirt line into brick and mortar stores and selling offline. Topics include industry tradeshows, events, line sheets, sales reps and other retailing tips and advice.
2) APPA - Which is harder to get into as you need to be in the promotions industry. Good tradeshow with most of the big t-shirt blank distributors in attendance.
We took part in both of them in Sydney in July. Next PromoExpo in 2008, but there will be one more VISA this year on the Gold Coast – not sure when exactly.
Unfortunately you are right; in comparison with the US we hardly get any tradeshows here.
Did you see the other tradeshows in Australia that were posted in this thread?
The other events are geared towards promotional printing and printing techniques in general thats not what Im after, Im looking for trade shows that are like Fashion Expo,,, not promo trade events..
I think thats the main one unless you consider the actual Fashion festivals that are held in cities around Australia.
Your best bet is maybe ask on the Vogue Australia forums. Plenty of fashionista's over there.
Hi thanks for your reply Im also guessing thats the only kind of fashion TRADE show around besides the festivals which dont suit me.... thanks for your tip see what I can find out on the Vogue forums..

Anyone!!!
One might argue that promotional printing/decorating techniques are the same as fashion ones - screen printing, embroidery, dye sub, heat transfers...
At promo tradeshows you can meet companies like Bella - just in case you are interested in fashion blanks.
But if you are looking for contacts with potential buyers of your fashion range - you are right, this kind of events will be usless from business point of view (though still educational).
