Hi all,

I will be doing business with a few retailers in California and NY. I want to know what I need to have in order to be able to sell them my tshirts at wholesale price. Do I need to be incorporated or have an LLC? or is just having a DBA OK. Do I need to have a resale certificate or sales certificate in order to do this?

In order to "sell" at wholesale, you don't need much at all. Just the products I think

In order to "buy" at wholesale, you'll need a resale certificate.

But I could be wrong on that. You may want to check the California State Board of Equalization website to see if you need any tax license for selling within the state.
