Default NEED some pointers!! Getting a listing of events in your area? Where to get designs?

2 questions and a little bio of where im at in my buisiness. NEED some pointers!!

1) What is the best way to get a listing of events in your area worth selling at, say within a 200 mile radius or so. forthworth texas?

2)My plan now is to take the hats and soon to be added shirt line back to the large Flea market and then branch out to other actual events. The only major problem I have is that I have focused on business designs (logos) not general public so I know how to compete with professional quality but the general public has me nervous. Is there a place I can go to get copyright free designs to print out and "test" the waters with before I actually start working on my own designs. Or at least anyone have any good starter ideas that I can work up!

This will be my third time to set my business up and Im doing it allot different. The 1st time a uncle stole my customers and then quit 3 months later, 2nd a tornado came thought and I lost to much money to recover, joined to navy reserves for bonus $$ to gte things back to normal.
Now im going to do it again with only my wife, kids and allot more money backing me.
The first go around I did telemarketing, good money but high start off cost, and the second I set up an internet cafee at a flea market with custom printed hats and made some good money even though the weather scared ALL the customers off. In fact The hats were probably the biggest money maker at the whole event looking at the booth's around me.

If you have a heat press, you can buy pre-printed designs already on transfer paper at places like ProWorldInc.com and Dowling Graphics.
