Default Selling Shirts on Tour and Concerts

Hey, I am going out on 5 dates of Warped tour with my clothing line, and I was just woundering if anybody had been through this so I know a bit more of what to expect, or any tips on how to get my tent noticed over the 100's of other vendor tents On the tour. Thanks!

Also, if anyone has been through this, Warped tour brings about 9,000 people to each Concert. Do you think it is worth it to go? under conditions and expenses like
Gas for a big van
Food
Warped tour expenses ($250 a day for a 10x10 space)
A Big order of shirts before the tour, with borrowed money
A Custom Tent
Promotional materials (buttons, stickers, flyers)

another thing, I am in a 10x10 Area with a Tent, I dont have that much room in the van for Products to hang shirts on, etc etc. What type of material do you suggest I put the shirts on for display? I am working with like Shelf railing right now, as i have seen alot of bands do, But im not sure it's going to be neat enough, any suggestions?

it's all much appercaited even if you havent done this, im sure you know more then I do.

Hi Derek, check out this post about one member's experience with selling at the warped tour. He seemed to say it was more advertising exposure and not many sales:http://www.t-shirtforums.com/p101016-post32.html

I'll probably hit some of the warped tour, but with tour shirts. I just got home from "Widespread Panic" tour and I would generally sell about 40-60 a show to fans. The last one 15-17,000 people and I only dropped 60. It's hit or miss.

Most of mine were for specific shows, but didn't violate laws by using a trademark/copyrights. You won't have a problem with security taking your stuff so load up a backpack and hit the parking lot. Keep your tent too, but not everyone stops by the tents.

As far as printing a ton with borrowed $$$. Be careful!!! You can get yourself in a hole real quick. I've been screwed, by printing too many in the past. It's much better to sell out, then to have more than you sold left over, and having to wait for them to sell elsewhere. I would focus more on promoting your clothing than how many shirts you will sell. People buy souvenirs from the shows with band names, dates, or a play on the tour name. You'll have a lot of competition out there I promise. I've done this many times. Don't be surprised if you only sell 10-20 a show being that your shirts will not be related to the event going on.
