I am doing my homework and checking out all the systems out there before I jump in. I am looking into the the creative aspect of the shirts and am leaning toward a startup chromablast deal right now..until I found this site. There is so much out there it can blow your mind. I would like to start out designing artwork with corel draw and produce heat transfers and press onto a shirt, basically a hobby/small business set up to start. I just signed up for a seminar by one of the site sponsors Imprintable Wharehouse....... has anyone attended this seminar before and is this the type of seminar that you feel would be beneficial for the type of printing level that I am looking to get into...... thanks in advance for any help...........................Sean

If you are referring to the Great Garments Seminar, I attended one late last year and it was definitely worthwhile. There was good information regarding equipment and some information regarding processes. The hands-on demos were nice as you really got a good feel for the heat presses that were on-hand.

Where I got the most was from tips, ideas and networking with peers. The question and answer sessions were very informative. Also, during the "mingling" times, there was a wealth of information shared between the attendees, presenters, and company reps.

If you have a chance to attend, I would recommend you go and don't be afraid to speak up and ask any questions you may have. If it is something the presenters can not answer, there's a good chance theres an attendee there who can.

Thanks Maxine I am not sure if it is the one you attended. All I know is that I was referencing their products from a sponsor link on this site and and had seen that they are hosting a seminar close to Pittsburgh. I really am new and have alot to learn so if it similar to what you described it probably will be beneficial....thanks

I just went to one in Winston-Salem and it was definately worth the trip. Yes it does deal with the products the sponsors sell but you learn a lot of tips on marketing and you can talk with people working in your area. So you learn about their products firsthand and learn what sells locally.
