Question Getting RETAILERS to carry your shirts

Has anyone tried to get their shirts carried by target, walmart, sams and etc to get your shirts carried in their stores????? what is the first step to making that happen????

Not specific to the big chains,like target or Walmart but these threads have very good info on getting your designs into stores.

Dealing with Retailers…
Anyone have experience approaching stores with their designs?
how did you start selling your shirts?

Attending tradeshows like ASR Sportswear and Magic can be good ways to get your products in stores. That's where all the retail buyers go to find new products to carry.

If you check out the threads Cortney linked to above and try forum searches for retailers and tradeshows, you should find some more good information posted.
