Could this shirt be reproduced? and if so where?

Default Could this shirt be reproduced? and if so where?

So this has been my favorite shirt for a really long time (I am 6 foot 8 so it just fits). An ex bought it for me a few years back off ebay. It is a vintage shirt so I don't think I can find it in any stores. It pops up on ebay every once in awhile, but it is always in a small size. This one is a medium and is actually too tight so I never get to wear it. I want a new one. So how do I go about getting it reproduced? I would want to keep the vintage look/feel of it if at all possible.

Since there's a trademarked character on the front, I don't think there would be a legal way to reproduce it.

If you're looking for the "fit", you may want to try looking for other t-shirts with the same brand that's in the label.

Technically, yes. Unauthorized reproduction could cause problems for the person/company reproducing for you.

You can get a green version of the t-shirt here: Green Giant - Feel Like A Giant Soft T-Shirt | OldGlory.com

I don't think it's an "actual" vintage t-shirt. It looks like it's something that's officially licensed to the "Junk Food" t-shirt company.

yeah I came across that one, it just doesn't appeal to me in the same way. I like the way the giant likes on the one I have, instead of today's green giant. Thanks for the info though

question: is there no time limit on copyrighted t-shirt design?...if the t-shirt is 20 yrs old or more, is it still a problem to reproduce it?

There's a time limit, but it's absurdly long. At this point, anything produced 1923 or later could still be protected by copyright.

Oh boy yes. 20 years is not long as far as copyright terms go.

maybe it is no need to produce one more pc, it is not worthwhile to duplicate "same" one, there is no same leaves in the world, Fatally, this shirt was very old, i am afraid it has to made in factory's smpl room, and smpling fee will be higher than buying a pc from ready similar ones.
