Default SEARCHING... Know a NYC retailor for 10 BLANK fashion cut tees?

Hey Connoisseurs,
I'm in NYC this weekend, and I'm looking for 10 blank, high-quality tees. Does anybody know a retailer that can meet these specs: Various colors, Men's L, contour fit (jersey, fashion cut, etc.), waste length.

What I mean by high-quality:
The quality of American Apparel is so-so. My newest tees from there lose noticeable color after the first couple washes. They, like many, are a bit long for my taste, as well.

The quality of Bdg from Urban Outfitters is not good. The last batch I bought there lost shape after several washes. And the hems on the sleeves and waste have buckled up. A very cheap look. Alternatively, I have several Bdg tees that I bought around 2001 and they still look great. Had I known how difficult finding good tees would become, I would have bought enough for a lifetime then.

The quality of The Alternative (Retailer in Atlanta, GA alternative apparel::home) is very hit-or-miss. I bought several tees from their boutique recently despite the wimpy hems. I liked the lightness of the material and their celebrity sitings. Then, I put one in the wash, and it came out as a scoop-neck. I'm not exaggerating. It's totally unwearable. Similarly, if a baby gives the collar one good tug it will be ruined (the shirt, not the baby. The baby is fine).

As always, thanks for the forum.

All best,

Bryan

Try Royal Apparel. They are located on the East Coast and have fashion blank cut tees.

Rodney,
Thank you so much for the referral. I did visit Royal and their new Pima Jersey appears to be of unusual quality. They supply this shirt to Armani. The cotton is fine yet looks to hold its shape well. Probably very wrinkle-free too. I don't know the technical terms for the hems on the sleeves and waistline, but they look strong and very flat.

I was surprised to learn that there is no minimum for ordering from their PA facility. They have a very thorough catalog.

Thanks again,

Bryan

Where can I find these pima tees without having a wholesaler's license?

You may want to try calling around to the various places to see if they will sell without one. PimaApparel and RoyalApparel are 2 places that have pima tees.

I have used Royal for several projects. They are very easy to work with and accomodating. The Pima products are wonderful to work with but make sure you test and get samples before your project.

I did have a problem with one shirt, it was sized very small even for a Jr and a top stitched band on the sleeve that was very tight. When washed it shrunk greatly. UGH

At the ISS show the rep, a very nice guy remembered me and asked about the last order. I told him what happened and he offered to send samples to give them another try. Some of the products were top of the line and we could really use for a future project but.... I was billed while we were our of the country and send for collections. GEEZ

That is sad. I hope everyone has better luck.
