how do SAAD and HOOD compare to regular AAA activewear shirts?
i know the SAAD and HOOD tees are 6.1oz heavyweight (claims WDUSA) and AAA are thin activewear, but how much of a difference is it really? and do SAAD/HOOD tees shrink that much?
i used to wear Pro Club/5 but that was when i used to wear really really tall tees. im not into that kind of stuff anymore and prefer just fitted shirts. not to mention they are pretty pricey.
im 6' 2" and 160LBs. i like the fit of a Medium AAA shirt but its just too short when it comes to length. so im looking for Medium Tall tees. since AAA and pro club/5 dont make M-Tall, i found SAAD/HOOD. according to the measurements on WDUSA, the regular (non tall tees) have a length of 29" which is longer than Medium AAAs and is actually perfect. (what does length from HPS mean btw?)
Saad and Hood are both very long tees. I think that he has regular shirts up now but I have never ordered them so I can't comment. The Hood tall tees that Mohammed sells on his site are some of my favorite shirts, they are thick with a tight neck and they last for a long time.HPS means highest point on the shoulder, it is the length from the shoulder seam to the bottom of the shirt.
I believe that Mohammed has these shirts manufacured himself. He is a poster on this board. I checked the RN on the Hood and Saad tees that I purchased from him and they are both made by Wholesaledirectusa. I can tell you that it doesn't get much better than those Hood shirts if you are looking for long, thick, tight neck urban tees. I can also recommend Citylab brand tees if you are looking for something with a slightly longer sleeve and shorter body length. Citylab only sells in quantities of 10 dozen however. They post on this board as well. Talha tees are good too as far as urban fit(long length, thick tight neck, longer sleeves) but the quality isn't comparable to Citylab or Hood.
Regarding Hoods sleeve lengths... are they standard sleeves like all other brands? Or does Citylab just have extra long sleeve lengths? I'm curious.
As for trend forecasting... the overly long tee's are a dead fad. However, longer lengths than American Apparel is needed. Shoot, I'm 6'1 can you see someone my height in a 29" long 2XL? Definitely good to have these companies that make 34" long 2XL for people like myself. Smediums are for the short and rail skinny guys... not me. Too bad there's not much to pick from. Guess that's why I make my own stuff custom fit.

I live in the south (Florida) and I can assure you that the oversized long tee is not out of style down here, everybody wears them. Tall tees fit like regular tees on some people so there will always be some market for them even if the trend dies. When I say that Citylab has longer sleeves I mean that they are more of an urban fit than say Hanes or Fruit of the loom. Hood tees also have longer sleeves than these brands but Citylabs are definitely longer in the sleeves than those. I absolutely hate Pro Club tees because of the ridiculously short sleeves and long wide bodies. If they had longer sleeves they would be the perfect tee. Who wants to wear a long tee with short sleeves? I am 6'' with broad shoulders and I personally need something with longer sleeves than your average smedium wearing guy. Citylab can be found at welcome to CityLabUSA.com
you can also find some on ebay if you are looking for samples because their minimum order is 10 dozen.
