Default bad experience with this machine

I have had the Mimaki 604 D now for a month and I wish I didn't get it. it is very slow, and the nozzles get clogged after just a few prints. I wish I got a T jet. Does anyone else have similar experiences?

Are you printing with it every day? or turning it off for a period of time? What kind of maintenance routine are you doing with it? Maybe we can help if you let us know, how you are using it. Also how is your humidity level? I would check the humidity, as it is winter and when its cold and dry, the humidity gets really low. It can be detrimental to your print head if there is not enough humidity in the air. Let us know what your routine is, and maybe we can help you to get it printing better

Was it a brand new purchase? When & from what company did you purchase it from?

I bought it second hand, the dealer is far from where I live a 5 hour drive, they will only provide support over phone and internet. It prints fine once in a while, the rest of the time it is extremely blurry, there is no rhyme or reasons why it prints o.k one time and not another. washed the heads 20+ times still the same story.

Might be worth it if you make the additional investment for a head replacement. Anyway, there should be a warranty on the new heads. Is it very cold with low humidity on your work place? That's the condition that normally leads to head clogging. Are you using original ink cartridges from Mimaki? Are those inks still new?

Well I have a 5 yr old 604D that prints like the day it was new. As for your blurry prints it may not be a head problem at all you may just have to high of a head gap. I am a Mimaki Dealer and have 604 & 604D printers from coast to coast. I can probable solve most of your problems over the phone. I offer free phone support to anyone that buys supplies from me.
Regards Steve.
