Default M&R I-dot anyone out there own and use one

I am looking to purchase a I-Dot but when the person whose owns it showed me the quality, I was sorely disappointed. I run several MR screen printing equipment and have been extremely happy with them.
Does anyone own this machine? For the price, I think the QUALITY should be there. I wonder if the person that I thinking of buying it from just don't know what they are doing. Is there a huge learning curve? Help give my any thoughts. Thanks

I Have a i-Dot and I am very satisfied with it. I am getting extremely good quality with it. I was an airbrush artist before i bought my i-Dot and I like to print custom designs which of course have a lot of detail. I have learned that certain prints require a little more attention. Fopr instance when printing something with a lot of detail such as a face or small lettering you would need to use the uni direction setting of the print head. If you are looking for a more solid bold color on a light shirt you might want to print at 360dpi and then reprint at 720dpi. I have been able to print photos of people and get a really clear print. I am very impressed with my printer and the reults it gives me. I am sorry that you had a bad result in seeing the printer because it really is very good. I could also talk to that person and probably help them with getting better results. It is just in learning your printer which is not very hard but does take time and care.
Hope this helps.

I was also thinking to have this quality could also be from having the pallet to low. The i-Dot prints great quality and for it to be a bad print is usually user error. Learning to use the i-Dot is not very hard. In fact is was the easiest of any of the other companies I checked with. hope this helps.
