I know few people who owns idot. It seems pretty happy about it. M&R sold quite a many machines but nobody here to comments except me (not own one). Maybe they all busy with printing no time for here . My machine users are do same

Well did speak with person in Dallas who has the machine, Must say not a shiney example of the production of the machine, he did admit he has printed alot of items on it, but really not happy with durability of the product coming of it.
He also mentioned that he needs to send the unit if for repairs already per M&R., Only had it since January.
Sorry to hear that.. I rec'd a shirt from M&R at the Atlantic City Show in March which was pretreated at the show.. The shirt still looks marvelous!!! Maybe your not applying the pretreatment correctly?

I do think that is the case, but there are no instructions about how to apply the pretreatment. I am following the steps that I was given over the phone and have these problems. Does anyone have a set of instructions that works for them?

Look at my pretreatment post in the M&R digital forum.
Hello everyone! My name is Matt i live in the bay area and I own an I dot printer. I own a t-shirt shop in the east bay where we sell only t-shirts. It is called Thriving Ink. The reason we bought an i dot is to offer custom tees to all of our customers. We encourage artists to bring all there art so they can print it on our american apparel blanks things are going great so far.
The printer is a blast to work with. I posted a short review about it at my blog (matty d's life - Digital Garment Printing is insane.). Please email me if you have any questions about it, or post them here! .

i have an appointment with a rep. to test drive one tomorrow. i have been looking into the dtg viper and idot.
have you had any problems with yours ? i have already heard 2 people in different threads complaining about the durability of the finish product and also about the machine having some flaws and being sent back for repairs within the first few months of work
yeah unforunately the rep at my local print supplier said they need to take the machine back for updates and repair and I just got it in april!! lame. i am having bad luck with black tee prints. pretreatment and registration are giving me a hard time consistently.
Oh - i am also finding that when i am printing nice art peices (and almost anything else) on a white garment, i have to print it twice in order to get good color vibrancy :-/
Sorry to hear that. I have done a lot of research, including the meeting with the M&R rep. After spending hours of reading these forums, i ve been reassured that most machines (including iDot and SWF Dtgs) are using the same print heads and same Dupont Artistri inks. So apparently the differences are in the additional components and customer service associated with each machine.
I have had samples printed in front of me from SWF and M&R. I just washed and put them in the dryier for the second time today and they both still look very good. I think that as a rule of thumb one is supposed to wash them 10X or so to get a better idea of quality.
I recommend you research the forums on pretreatment and curing times as those seem to me as the main possible causes of your problem, I m very new at this but if you PM some of the more experienced members such as Sunnydayz, Alex from M&R, Don from SWF, Adrenaline, just to mention a few of the ones i ve had the pleasure of interactiong they could guide in the right direction.
A few hours of reading through the forums could save you a lot of trial and error when it comes to pretreatment and curing time.
