Hi
I have a laser printer at home and was wondering what the quality of printing onto laser transfers. What are the prices for this paper and where can I get the best but cheapest paper from (UK if possible). Also could you give me any others tips on starting with this method. How does it compare to inkjet printing

I do believe it will depend on the brand of Laser printer you have. I know that Okidata printers and Minolta printers will work with transfers. I have done some of it, but not for shirts. With the right paper, it will work on hard surfaces like metal and wood. Try here for more info Laser Transfer Paper - TheMagicTouch USA
I'm new to the garment business, but I have read that inkjet is really the way to go for shirts. I'm sure you will get plenty of advice from people way more experienced than me. Good luck.
Thanks for the advice. I thought that aswell. I have access to an inkjet printer so that is no problem. My laser printer is a Samsung Clp 300
Samsung printer does not work with some laser transfer paper. It has hotter fuser than some newer model/brand laser printer. I would suggest for you to test Imageclip for laser. It is a two step self weeding transfer paper. The quality, durability, look and feel are like screen print. Since there is no polymer window left on the shirt.
Inkjet printer is OK but it has clogging issue and vibrancy is not the best. I use both types but I rather prepare using laser printer.

Can you tel me more about imageclip. I'm intrigued. Where can I buy it. Is it just a type of laser transfer paper or is it a process.

I phoned for samples, but because they only stock in boxes of 100 they forwarded my details to their supplier who in turn sent me the samples.
Not tested them yet.
