I don't see any reason why it would not work especially with Imageclip. Don't worry about being discontinued as long as parts and consumables are still available. My C5200Ne was discontinued 3 months after I bought.

Yes I do remember you. Go with 16X20. You can't go wrong buying that size. Don't skimp when it comes to heat press. Especially with Imageclip. Stable temp and surface flatness are very important. More so with 11X17 transfer paper. Stay with name brand with good reputation. I would be leery buying from ebay.

i just bought a maxx press 1 month ago 15x15 i love it. but i cant afford a name brand press. i was also thinking instead of buying a laser printer i can just do ondemand like if i get an order i can goto staples and get them print 1 copy for me its 1.25 11x17 so i can save 1200$ what do you think . they use xerox laser printer. i know i sound cheap but business is so down thanks god i have a full time job. if not tshirt business is very competitive. i make money with retail sales. hey lemme ask you a question i posted another thread about a product . its called tattoo inc. one of their product line. its a preprinted heat tranfer for darks and light a compny in NJ i saw it at michaels craft store yesterday. i am trying to figure out how they did it. it looked awsome , any ideas??

That would a good option until you can afford to buy a printer. As a matter of fact I suggest that all the time to members who are starting out and do not have a laser printer. Make sure to tell the operator to use bypass mode, manual tray and single feed. Otherwise it will have tendency to jam mechanically because of its thickness and glossy surface.

Without the paper in front of me my guess is it is made of plastisol or litho transfer. I use to use both but sometimes to get a good price I have to buy the minimum and wind up not selling all of them. Besides I can make my own design and ready to press anytime and not at the mercy of the vendor. You can contact the manufacturer of the transfer and ask if they will sell you custom transfers. Retail transfers are mass produced to reduce the cost of making it to a make profit. My guess would be high minimum, setup and price per transfer would be prohibitive.

Try Kinko or other office supplies. I was refused by some copy center but I found a small copy center that will do it with blessing of the service company that support that copy center. I looked for copy machine vendor and ask for copy center that will accept copying on Imageclip.

Regarding the used printer I would ask the person how much usage the printer had. Figure out if you invest on new drums, fuser, toners and transfer belt plus the price of the used printer. Ask your self are you better of buying a new printer? Like in my case I paid $595.00 with my printer. If I have to replace all the parts I listed it is going to cost me more than what I paid for the printer. In my opinion it is not a gamble that I am going to risk. It does not come with a factory warranty either.

Here is a link of Okidata supplier:
Super Warehouse - Search Results for c9300 printer

Check all the prices of the parts. Add it all up including the price of the used printer. See how close you are to the price of brand new C8800 or another OKI 11 X 17 model.

i found a c9300 for 1000$ refurbished by oki with toners drums and etc. its called a bstock which comes with 90 days warranty. staples refused to make copies. i was like u guys are serious. i did use the imageclip at kinoos 2 years ago and they had no problems i will try some other places before i invest. but i still want a dtg printer lol i just hate the pretreatment part. the best headcahe free way is imageclip for me i guess. i have over 1500 designs and ready start a website and etc but beeing able to only print on whites and light colors is killin me and the nost i can print is 11x17 thats also a issue but i guess i cant have the best of 2 worlds. i would also have to buy a 16x20 press my press is only 15x15 maxx so lets see what am i gonno do lol.

Hey here's what I would suggest. Have you heard or tried Imageclip for inkjet? It is basically the same as Imageclip for laser. Only this one the image is printed directly on the polymer paper. A second image (mask) is printed on a plain printer paper with B/W toner. The mask is used to remove the unprinted polymer. As far as the price of the B/W 11X17 printer and color printer the B/W is way cheaper. The inkjet transfer paper also solves the issue with laser transfer. Photo, light color and gradient design issues are the thing of the past. Kinko's will have no more excuse with copying on plain paper should you decide to take that route first. The Imageclip for inkjet comes in 8X11 and 11X17. It is available at Tshirtsupplies.com. You can get a refurb epson 1400 inkjet printer at Epsonstore.com and refillable inkjet cartridges and ink from injetcarts.com. Gotta warn you about inkjet printers. They are subject to clogging issue. That is something to consider before making a switch.
