Default Techni-Print laser paper

Has anybody tried the Neenah Techni-Print 4.0 laser paper? If so would you recommend? How does it compare to JPSS? I tried the Image Clip and have had no luck.

Thanks

I use it in my Ricoh CL7200 Color Laser Printer. My machine has a fuser.. and the fuser heats up...

It works great... but it did take a bit of fiddling around to get it right.

Feed it through the Bypass tray, set the paper type to "thick", and feed it long grain (this means on a 8.5 x 11 sheet.. that the 8.5 side of the sheet is going in first)

I have been experimenting with it. I use an Oki C8600 and use the Label 2 setting (using Conde's firmware update). It prints great but I am having trouble getting it to transfer fully onto a 100% white cotton t-shirt.

My heat press is 375F, heavy pressure, 30 seconds (per the instructions) . However, when I peel hot (right away), I don't get a full transfer. Some of the image stays on the transfer. It is the part that is peeled last so I think it is cooling down too fast. After many tries (and peeling as quick as I can), I still can't get a clean transfer. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

lausteve, when you go to peel, don't peel first. Strech the shirt and loosen the paper then peel. I've been doing that and most of the toner ends up on the shirt. Good luck Gary

Gary, thanks for the advice. I have tried almost everything and have not yet achieved consistent results. I will try your trick.

By the way, do you get cracking and fading in your washing? I have been testing the washability and also have been getting inconsistent results. After about 5 washes, some have cracked a lot and a few seem to be holding up.

Default Re: Techni-Print laser paper

I have an issue, that i print 5 sheets of Techni Paper 4.0 one day and in the same day i press 2 sheet of these and its get very good on the shirt and a very clean transfer
In the next day i try to press the other sheets and it leaves toner in the paper and the shirts gets with a bad transfer in the corners of the image.
The press is a no brand from china, but i get the same presure, time and time.
Could be this issue about the paper (form one day to another), the press (not even pressure or temp spots? or maybe me?

Hi guys, I have been expermenting a little with all this stuff. I have found that you need to have the press exactly the tempeture that the instructions say. I did a couple of prints last night on a red and dark blue shirt, and they turned out sellable. I am using and OKI 5200 med heavy pressure. Like Luis said on another thread run 10 sheets thru the printer to warm it up and then print you image. When I transfer to the shirts I always stretch first and that pops the paper loose. Hope this helps, good luck Gary P.S. I have washed one of the other shirts about three time with no ill efects so far.

Thumbs up Re: Techni-Print laser paper

Yesterday, come to my business the solution. We bought a Insta Press 234 and the transfers now are "excelent". I put my other china press in a box outside. That was the solution...
We try in A4 And A3 and there is no spot, toner remain, etc. and the are softer than the other press.
