Default Any way to avoid cutting in production of dark shirts?

Just wanted to confirm that there is no self weeding paper on the market at the moment for dark shirts apart from the WOW Magic Touch?

Is there any viable method at all to use laser transfers onto dark tshirts without the need for trimming?

You are right WOW 7.1 is the only self weeding opaque transfer. However, you can minimize the timming aspect of opaque heat transfer for complex design.

Some recommends covering the unwanted white area with color that matches the color of the fabric. But matching colors does not always work which could end up wasting toner because you may think you are close using plain paper then color will shift some what when it is printed on the heat transfer paper. Another thing is the color on the fabric and the color of print will fade with different rate. So the boxed print will stand out after few washings. If you can get away with putting border lines or even thick contour outline that is easier to trim to box the image I would rather do that. Other than that you are faced hand or vinyl cutter trimming.

Here is an example of adding contour outline. This belongs to a fellow member that I helped adding contour outline.

Thankyou for your reply, I will do border contours and hand cut and see how that goes for now before investing in a cutter.
Whats the best way of cutting by the way, just a pair of good scissors?

Yes with the deisgn I posted a good sharp scissors will be ideal. An exacto knife is good when cutting inside the design but be careful not to slip or overcut or you wind up with a ruinned transfer. Needless to say you need a steady hand with exacto knife. I red that Ironall for dark is hard to cut even with exacto knife.

Good luck.
