Default ImageClip help

This morning I tried printing an ImageClip green paper or the mask paper. What I ended up with is a gooey mess in the printer. I had the printer setting on thick paper. perhaps I should have selected thicker paper. The printer I was trying to use is a Brother MFC copier printer.

Thanks
Alan

Have you printed on this printer before with the ImageClip. ImageClip takes some time to get the right settings. If you have the thick mess out....just run about 10 pages of the image on regular paper to try to clean it off. Also sometimes you should run a couple pieces of paper with a little print on it first then do the imageclip.

You will have to play with the settings to figure out the right combination of paper thickness and type.

I run an oki 6050 and use Heavy and Manual feed with the default printer settings.

Hope that helps.

This is the first time I have tried ImageClip. The red sheet printed fine. I have cleaned the printer several times this morning. I am trying to get some promotional t-shirts done to help promote our laser printer. We will see If I have the guts to try again.

Thanks

Wait,

You have to print with the Red Paper ONLY. The green paper is used to take the excess off.

Step 1
Print image in reverse on Red Paper

Step 2
Press the Red Paper and Green Paper together using your heat press

Step 3
Peal green paper off red paper

Step 4
Heat press Red paper to tshirt.

I hope you didn't laser print the green paper.....because you will get a mess.

You just made my day. I have been trying to print a mask on the green paper. AAAAAhhhh what a relief. I just about fell on the floor laughing.

Thanks a bunch.

Well the printer is finally cleaned out and I am getting a good print on the red paper. I now need to figure out how much time I need to press the two sheet of ImageClip paper. Right now I am not getting a good stick of the transfer material to the toner.

Here is a link on how to get a consistent result on pressing the two papers and pressing the red sheet on the fabric.

Problems with Imageclip

BTW Imageclip for laser does not work very well with very light color, gradients and photos. Those are the limitations with the laser version. The inkjet version is the better option to solve the limitations of the laser version.
