Default Experience with Imageclip hard surface transfers

Hello All,
I came across something called Image Clip Hard Surface Heat Transfer Paper. Does anyone have any experience using this for mugs and other hard surfaces? Did it work for you? What is it's comparison to sublimation?

Thank You.

I have been using Image Clip on mugs with a HP8550 laser printer.
Main issues are:
1) Printer has to be well heated up for image to transfer properly onto the paper, and given its low level of normal use this costs
2) If using black, the paper adheres to the black areas after taking out of the mugpress
3) Mug is only handwash proof - in my dishwasher the drying part of the cycle is too hot
4) If I use heavy/bond settings the paper sticks to the image drum, so I have to set up for lighter paper

I use an A pad - can't get it to work at all without.

If anyone else has knowledge of this it would be good to have your feedback.

Not to sound dumb, but what is an 'A' pad?

It's a heat conductive sponge pad, which is wrapped around the mug before putting it in the mug press. Supposed benefits are:
1) Has significant heat capacity, so if heated up before hand, helps the mug to heat up quicker to the temperature
2) Helps get an even heat at all points on the mug

A-Pad is simply the name the US vendor gave it - dunno what it stands for
Regards
