ive got the sunkei sukie press and the xerox 6110 printer.

You are fine if the image is rectangular or circular shape and not a complex shape. Otherwise you either cut by hand with a scissor, exacto knife or a vinyl cutter with optic registration sensor to remove unwanted white background around the image.

Re: Whats the deal with printing on DARK T-Shirts?
You use an "opaque" transfer and everything starts out white. The "opaque" transfer is actually a sheet of a white material that you print on and then trim off everything you don't want to transfer, any background or parts of the graphic/border/text that you don't want to show up on the shirt. Also, you don't "mirror" the print for an opaqur transfer. Its easier to see than explain and I suggest you get some samples ( I use alpha gold for darks) and try them out. Be careful to read directions , especially any opaque transfers. Good luck.

so you guys think i will have to cut around the text becuase outside the text will be pure white??

Craft Robos will contour cut all the unwanted areas of the transfer but you will lose a lot of area to the feature that allows you to cut a printed transfer. You will lose area to the part used by the pinch roller and the area used by the alignment marks.
yes you will have to cut around the text tyo get rid of any pure white that you don't want on the T-shirt. Good luck.

Re: Whats the deal with printing on DARK T-Shirts?
One good thing about a vinyl cutter is that you can use heat press vinyl in many colors to make transfers for any color T-shirt as long as what you want to put on the T-shirt is able to be made with few colors.
Re: Whats the deal with printing on DARK T-Shirts?
OK.
Lets say i want to print this design on a black t shirt.........
like i said i have a laser printer 6110 and the sunie sikei heat press...............WHATS THE BEST WAY TO PRINT/PRESS this design on a black shirt. cheapest way aswell
Re: Whats the deal with printing on DARK T-Shirts?
Best way is screen printing. Cheapest way is felt markers. Compromise is an opaque transfer with good hand trimming of excess transfer or find someone with a print/cut machine like roland and have them make it for you and you press it. This option is also available to use screen printers to make a plastisol transfer but you'll need yo order a few (couple dozen) coppies to be affordable.Good luck.
