Default Photo Trans paper not too good...

I got photo trans paper, printed ti today, and pressed it onto my shirts with my commercial heat press. No matter what I do,
it seems like only half of the ink gets on the shirt. Ive tried 375 -400 degree setups, with times from 20-1 min, and they all yield the same results.

Is there something I might be possibly be doing wrong????

I am still not sure which one. Do you have the manufacturer's name for it? Is it Imageclip for laser? If it is what is the procedure you are using? Hopefully you are not pressing the green sheet on the shirt. It is the red sheet that is pressed on the shirt. Also it is normal to have some toner left on the transfer paper.

Heres the 2 pics attached. With the photo trans paper I use, and the other with the shirt and used phototrans paper next to it.

OK, the photo on the left is very fuzzy and I can't read the printing on it. What does it say? It looks like Imageclip judging from the pattern of the print.

You might want to try the method I use. I press the transfer for 15 secs with very heavy pressure at 375F. Grab the shirt by the shoulder off the lower platen, wave it in open air for 5 seconds to let the polymer set on the shirt, place it back on the lower platten, press it for another 5 seconds then peel hot.

You can try higher temp and longer dwell time also with the method I described above.

It is normal to have toner left on the transfer.

Did you click on the picture? Its very clear.

Well I actually found instructions, I got a green backed paper and red backed paper. THe instructions soudn like I print the image on the red paper, then put the green paper over it, heat them, and pull them apart then iron on the red sheet. But that still didn't work either.

Yes I did. I even enlarged it and it is still fuzzy. Well it is pointless now that you mentioned when you mentioned about the instruction. The red sheet alone will not give good heat transfer. It has to be pressed against the green sheet to coat the printed areas with polymer from the green sheet.

Pressing the two sheet is a bit tricky. Here is a link that might help you:

That is the limitation with the laser Imageclip transfer paper. Unless you make the color darker enough that there are more toner in the lighter part of the image. The inkjet version solves that issue.
