Question Craft Robo and Laser printer

I have an OKI C5200 with the original toner in it. I would like to try to use this with the Craft Robo and make decals multicolor and also maybe tshirt transfers I stopped making transfers for a while because I was overwhelmed with not knowing how and what to do I still miss my Alps. What kind of paper would you recommend to use for tshirt transfers with the original inks? What about stiker type paper to make colored stickers or decals so I can test for durability? Thanks

I own both Craft Robo Pro and C5200NE. I used the oem toner until I ran out. Been using compatible toners ever since I ran out of oem toners.

Speaking of Craft Robo I just got done cutting a printer paper that I use to mask the image so that there is not halo/polymer window around the image. I also use it for cutting vinyl transfers.

There are a couple of laser papers that stands out that leaves no polymer or very little amount around the image. Imageclip for laser is the only one that is self weeding laser transfer for lights besides it's inkjet counter part that is manufactured by the same company. Imageclip feels and looks like screenprint. The other forum favorite is Duracotton HT. There is also a new product from the manufacturer of Duracotton that is called Lights+white.

I use both Imageclip for laser and for inkjet. I also use Duracotton HT if the Imageclip for laser does not work with image colors, strictly for whites. JPSS for inkjet last which is for inkjet.

Do a forum search using Imageclip and Duracotton HT to get more feedback from the forum members.

Not sure what you mean by testing durabilty using stickers.

New Milford photo sells stickers.

If you wanted to print decals for like bumper stickers and such that might be outside or to use on a computer or something that might be touched alot do you know of what type media to use that would be best for longer lasting? Can we print on amu type of laser labels with the OKi c5200 or can we use a clear vinyl and cut it to the size we need with a paper cutter or someting similiar to get better pricing? Such as I do a lot of vinyl lettering on T-Shirts but I have not found anything other than Dalco Perma Cad I order the 48 in and cut it in half and I have the abiltiy to use the two rolls then in my 24 in cutter. But my hope is to find something that works well so that I can offer Photo Transfers again or just transfers with logos but since my Alps died I did try a few things a few years ago but I dd not like the results so I havent been offereing transfers. I have only been doing what I can do on a simple plotter. I have taught myself how to do multicolor mascots and made 15 or so banners with vinyl doing one layer at a time and placing on top of each other. My thought is lf the CR works like they say. Maybe I would not have to do mulitiple layers I just print and use CR to cut and then apply. Am I correct or am I expecting too much from this.

Not sure what amu type is. I don't do decals just fabric transfer printing, embroidery on hats and garments. If amu can withstand the hot fuser of the laser printer it will probably work. It is worth a try. Like you I was forced to go with a laser printer and lately with inkjet printer when Seiko discontinued the ink ribbons for my CH404 Colorpoint wax transfer color printer.

I do try my laser printer on some inkjet for light and opaque just to see which will survive the fuser heat.

Craft Robo I find does not cut exactly on the cutline. So when I contour cut an image or a mask I add clearance between the image and the cutline to avoid clipping part of the image or the mask will be large enough so that no part of the image is masked off.

Where do you buy your toner from? How much for it? I found a website that offers all four coors for $119 with free shipping. Not sure what the site is now but wondering if that would work or should I get mine from where you do to be there work? Thanks

You might try to experiment with some polyester die cut labels, print them with your laser, and then use liquid laminate to protect your art.
